On the back inside the handle it hads B 06 i am asuming that the 06 stands for when it was made but what does the B stand for?
Thanks

The markings are production/assembly marks. The other slab may or may not have "A 06."

The 06 portion generally stands of the year.

werent it abc&d for the quarters of the year maybe?

I don't know.

All of my Sebbies had "A XX" on one slab and "B XX" on the other.

If they are quarterly indicators. . . .does CRK operate on a calendar or fiscal year ? :D

Actually both sides have a B on them or it might be a W on the lock side it looks a little different.

there should be "birth date markings" and blade steel markings if my memory serves me correctly

it might be a 3 i am ni sure but here is a pic

I was also wondering about these markings.

One of my handles has A 06 and the other has B 05. If these markings indicate quarter and year then my knife has handles that were made at least 9 months apart.

All this numbering talk had me curious about what #'s were in my Sebbies: 1. Small Classic has C 04 inside both slabs, my small Night Sky Sebbie, has A 06 inside both slabs, and my large regular has A 05 inside both slabs. There are no #'s inside my Umfaan or Mnandi.

I have a couple of sebbies with non matching handle numbers, thought about it when I first saw it and then completely forgot about it. To me it doesnt really matter.

My Mnandi doesnt have numbers and that might be because of the wood and the fact that the wood has to match so they can't just grab two handle parts and put them together, like they could with the sebs.

Now my umfaan is different it does have a number. It is only on one side on mine. If you look by the back spacer on the non locking side that is where mine is numbered it is small but there, A97.

My small Sebenza is numbered only on one side as well B97. I should also mention that the B97 is on the clip side and that the unique graphic side has no stamp. ??

i just want to mention it to make the confusion complete :D

Arne to unconfuse you C05 on both handles mean they were both manufactured in the third quarter of 05.
