How many knives do you have in your EDC rotation?
How long do you edc a knife before you change?
What factors effect your changes in edc?

Why am I asking? Because I find it difficult to carry the same edc knife for more than a month.
I want to know if you guys have similar edc habits as I do.
Me - I edc about 5 different modern folders but it can vary greatly. The reasoning behind my edc choices are more subjective than objective.
I want know because my Father carried the same Case 3 blade Stockman for the better part of 30 years. I find it hard to edc the same knife for a month.

How do you decide what to carry?

One small wood inlay sebenza.

I have other folders but none are of the same quality and size.

returned a ZeroTolerance because its too heavy.

I barely notice the seb even in its leather pouch.

Generally four. Start out week with BM Emissary, then Spyderco Chaparral, then Kershaw Cryo with CF scale, then Strider PT over the weekend.

Oh, and Small Sebenza 21 when I feel like it.

Basically every knife I own is part of my EDC rotation. I like switching around a lot, sometimes a certain knife or group of knives gets more attention for a while (newer purchases, for example). I've got a few big drawers filled with "EDC" knives (one for one hand opening folders, one for traditional slippies, one for fixed blades and one for multitools/SAKs) and I pick whatever I feel like carrying.

Today I went through three different combinations as I changed clothes for different activities.

• Currently, I'm only using a (1) 530-1303 & a (2) 941-CFV.

• I EDC a current favorite for a long time before I evolve to liking something better.

• I have noticed that I have been gradually moving from larger to more smaller/thinner/lighter designs - ultimately to the 530/940 combo. They are perfect for me & my intended use.

• And lastly, a major reason to why most have issues in carrying only one is because: (1) you see all these great knife pics on the forum! (2) too many options! (3) it's keeping up with the forumites! I'd say pick a favorite, one that you really find yourself coming back to, and use it!
