Numerals on Shabaria blade

I recently purchased this very interestingly shaped folder. Beyond the "designer's mark" on the blade is stamped the numeral 712. What is its significance?

That just means that you picked up one of the first thousand (1200?) or so knives produced. If you are interested, it can add to collector value.
