nutnfancy's review of the junglas

That review was 90% the CS Kukri with a few Junglas appearances. Looking forward to the table top.

He seems to like it though the Cold Steel seems to out chop it, but it damn well should being like 5/16" thick and being forward-heavy like it is.

Thanks for the heads up on the video bro! Yeah, really the only time you get to see the Junglas is at the very beginning. That CS Kukri looks like a pretty nice blade. Of course it's going to out chop the Junglas, it's about 1/4" thicker and got most of it's mass on the front end. I'd like to see the table review that he does on the Junglas.

Seemed like a fair and reasonable review.

I would agree that the Kuk would be a better chopper but the Junglas is going to be a much more well rounded blade overall.

Ahhhhh. I thought it was the tabletop review. If it's the same video I've seen he mentions it'll be comin' at some point. But man that Kukri is a angry slab 'o steel!

I would agree, if all you need is a chopper than I say go with the Kukri, but that really is all you get from it. Need a god chopper as well as a tool for other things around the camp fire or in the mountains for survival, then the Junglas is the way to go. Just my humble opinion even though I'm a bit biased.

Price is another factor to..isn't that kukri like $250? Maybe I'm thinking of another kuk..

They are both about 160 on ebay and yes the Kuk will out chop the junglas but you cant really do anything else with the kukri so its a trade off. I think Id rather have the junglas If I could only have one.

The CS KLO also has another couple inches of blade if I'm not mistaken. I think a better head-to-head would be a CS Trailmaster vs. the Junglas. Those two are roughly equivalent in size.

There is a CS model around that price, but the Kukri in the Nutnfancy video is about the same price as the Junglas.

35 minutes??!

Nutnfancy isn't going to hold my attention for over half an hour...maybe get Jessica Biel to do the review if its going to be that long!

Nutfancy isn't a reliable source for knife advice.

He did a two part, 30 minute "review" of a knife that he has never even held.

I stay away from gun guys for my knife information, and knife guys for gun information....

Honestly.....I don't understand choppers. A machete in the jungle I can see, but in a North American forest I'll take my Silky saw for those same chopping tasks any day. Just as fast or faster, less calorie expenditure, and lighter to pack.
