Hey ALL,
I have liked the peanut pattern for some time now and enjoy using it as a daily task knife. I have had a couple of different brands and was wondering what everyone is partial to. I really like my Schrades and the Robeson has great springs/snap. I am sure this pattern is popular and wanted to see which brand peanut was preferred.

I only have these three peanut style knives: Camillus 22 pony jack, Case 6220, and Craftsman 95041 (may also be by Camillus). I like each of them for different reasons.

The Camillus is the slimmest of the three, which makes it ride more comfortably in the pocket, it has what is probably my favorite feeling synthetic handle material, and it was one of my first flea market rescues.

The Camillus and Craftsman both have pen blades in front of the clip, which I prefer.

The Craftsman is the widest of the three, which gives something more substantial to hold on to while cutting, it has a long pull on the clip, a slightly longer clip blade, and no half stops (never been a fan of this feature).

I love the look and feel of the Case's chestnut bone, and prefer the way these blades cut over the other two knives. There is also an intangible, "I just really like this knife," which makes me pick it over the other two more times than not. If I had to pick just one, it would be the Case.

You mean there's other brand of peanut's?

All kidding aside, I'll go with Case. They seem a bit sturdier built with a feeling od something I can't quite describe, even in my own long winded way.

Carl.
