Has anyone tried buying a Night VIsion Device and attached it to their Vidcamera? I see that some of teh NVD devices come with lens attachment to add it to video cameras? Can you really see detail? I have visions of filming nocturnal animals and all or is it very grainy footage?

Isnt that rather silly as you can turn it into an infared camera by simply taking of the infared filter?
