How many people still have and use this knife as an outdoor knife? I haven't seen much about for a while now and I'm just curious. I still have mine from 2007 and I have yet to take it out and use it. I know a thousand lashing. Lol I plan on using it more this year just because I'm just getting tired of using the other ones I keep coming back to. So is there a review on this knife some where on here somewhere? I do remember there is a different heat treat on the blade.
I know I'm going to catch flack for not using as much as I should but that will change as of today. Lol

Mine gets rotated in, but with 2 kids under 5, recovering from broken legs, just graduating University for a second time and working my butt off to get massage clients I have not abused it to any degree- nor have I managed to handle the blank I bought either. I believe that Tknife has put out the most praise for it- searching his posts would be a good start.

I loved my 2 Sierra Scouts (2nd one had more of a barrel-shaped handle, rather than the first finger cutout that the forum knife had), but I got rid of them because I found myself gravitating to smaller knives when I was out, and felt bad that the NWA's weren't getting their due. So now someone else is enjoying them. But they are fantastic knives, very versatile. Would be a good all-arounder. And +1 on tknife as the NWA "spokesman", he should be along shortly to chime in...

i still have mine as well.. Nick's work is top notch.. i was one of the few that had Nick make one with a 4 in. blade instead of a 5 in.. i love it.. it is a bit heavier and has a different style, from what i normally use/carry in the woods.. it is still a solid user and i try to use it often..

It's still my most used and treasured knife. That's why I keep it on my avatar.

I still have both the 5" and 4" models. Excellent craftsmanship.

they look like really nice stuff. i'd love to get one, it's just a matter of fitting it in the budget.

I actually just emailed the maker about one, waiting for a response grate looking knife. I seen it in tknife's avatar and found out it was BF maker, witch made it that much better, good advertising he should get a commission lol. I can't wait to get on the list.

man you won't be disappointed.Nick makes a superb knife in every way.I've beat mine hard in the field (splitting wood after a 10 hour rain storm for a fire).I just took it out last night and touched it up.It's still crazy sharp. You won't want to use it after you get to see it in person.Believe me.It works better than it looks.

I love mine as well. (Same knife with a slightly shorter blade length). It's goes with me 8 out of 10 trips. I also use it as an excellent hunting knife.
