Ok I read all about the law for NY in here... I own a Strider AR.. I know under 4 inches is a legal carry. Now since laws can be very tricky... it is legal for a knife UNDER 4 inches BUT can the knife BE 4 inches in length?? Thanks!

I am not living in NYC... I live on Long Island. Once a year or so I make a trip to the city... so my question was for both out of NYC and inside NYC carry!

NY State itself has no length limit.

NY City's law "strictly prohibits a person from carrying any type of knife with a blade of 4" or over (Four) in length."

Get a ruler and measure the knife yourself. If you've used and sharpened it, it might be under 4" by now.

Hey planterz thanks a bunch! I dont really plan on carrying a knife over 4 inches.... but hey.. now that I know I can carry one bigger... if a nice folder should grab my attention Ill keep it in mind! :D
