It seems like there is going to be quite a good turn out of forumites. I think it would be fun to hang out a bit, have a little show & tell, put some more faces to names, etc. So, the question is do folks want to try to get together at some point during the show?

I'll be there before the doors open Friday & will probably be getting thirsty by 2-3 o'clock or so.

Since the NYCKS does not have space for a bunch of tables outside the ballroom like the ECCKS does, I'm open to suggestions. Any thoughts?

Remember, RJ Martin will be distributing BF name tags at his table so be sure to stop by & get one. See you folks there!

Brian, sounds like a great idea, but I probably won't get there until 5:30-6:00PM. I was hoping to get together as a group after the show for drinks and something to eat. Saturday I should be there most of the day and I figured by that time a place would be found to hang out and talk off the show floor.
Well, in any case I know I'll see you there.

I'LL be there on sat.
Drinks and eats after the show sounds like a winner.

Getting together after the show for drinks and something to eat sounds good to me. Of course, I'll probably have to replace some of the fluids lost through drooling a bit before then as well.

I will be there on Friday. I would like to meet some other knife freaks like myself from the forum. Drinks after is fine by me.

I will be there on saturday, with my brother and a friend(They are slowly but surely becoming knife nuts!)

What time does the show end? I don't know if we will be there for the whole day.

so, are we bringing any sharp pointy toys with us to show off??

Drinks & a bite Fri/Sat sounds like a winner- a couple of us did that after the last show- had a blast. Note to PhilL: bring that Ogg along! See you good folks on Friday- I should be there bell to bell.
Regards,
Mike

Mike, are you kidding, it's my EDC? I'll admit I get some strange looks when I'm in a suit and tie, but I always get a seat on the F train, in fact most of the car clears out when I flash that sucker.

Maybe I should get a sheath for it?

I will be taking a train in with Brian Jones (moderator Wilderness forum) It sounds like this show is going to have a good sized crowd and I am really looking forward to meeting all of you folks. I am particularly anquish to see what the infamous picture taking bastid Phil looks like. For those of you who dont know, he has several of us in chat very curious about what he looks like because one night when all of us were exchanging photos, Phil totally refused to let any of us know what he looked like. Nothing could get him to post his photo, not threats, bribes or even when Tim Herman got so mad at him he booted him off chat for refusing to show his photo. He finally posted a photo of when he was six.

So where is everyone going to meet? I guess we get name tags from R.J.'s table right? The get together afterwards sounds great too. I am game and I will be there.

I think PhilL's a little camera-shy since he cut his hair- he looks like a respectable citizen (with a big honking Bowie in his hand). It's often said that those who take the photos do not like to be in them.
So PhilL- it's been you causing the crowds down at my end of the "F" train- it's like somebody squeezed the train like a tube of toothpaste!

Since it's tomorrow, I thought I'd kick this up to the top.

Anyone bringing goodies to trade? I'll have a Dozier Arkansas Toothpick and maybe another piece or two.

ooohhh...
cool idea....trading!!
i think i'll bring my Kershaw Random Task- in very good shape, but i've been carrying my BM 705 Axis all the time for jeans carry, so....the RT's just sitting in a drawer...
maybe a Cold Steel Culloden neck knife (looks new)- i just have too many neck knives and now that i bought the Jones custom neck knife, i'm not wearing the CS...
i have the feeling my backpack's gonna be a little heavy....
i'll be there Friday afternoon, about 1:30 or 2 (taking a bus in from N-E Pa.).....
so look for KELT34 if you're interested in either of those....
