What is the utility of end handle Nyala ?

Is this a break glass or other ?

I have 3 of them, 2 standard drop points and a Nyala version.
It's my go to hunting, camping, and woods blade. After a few years of using them and reading every post I could find on the Nyala I've never heard of any specific intention for the shape of the pommel. I'm sure that if the situation arose you could bust a window with it but I'd personally use the tip (unless somebody was on the other side of the glass) to reduce the chances of a serious gash near my wrist. It's probably just an aesthetic curve that Chris liked when he designed the knife.
That said, it can be useful when separating the hide from an animal.

The Nyala handle looks similar to some of the hand made knives that Chris has done. I doubt it's intended to be a glass breaker but more of a running design feature. The Nyala has a fairly long handle and the shape of the butt helps its use in a number of grips comfortably. You can easily choke up on the knife or use a "pinch grip" for gutting fish or skinning etc. while you can just as easily and comfortably use a sabre grip or three finger grip at the butt for tasks the need to point a bit further away from the hand. :)
