well there was this project, a fellow Reeve Knives aficionado wanted his Nyala modded, new scales and shorter
this project didn't went through because the knifemaker in question was a bit overworked and stressed out from home
push came to shove and he messes up the project, lack of sleep, overdose of caffeine and to much pressure all had their part in it
I stood on the sidelines and watched the play unfold, in the end both parties did part not the best of friends but and so I hope without too much of a grudge
I bought the salvaged parts and had the old scales put on the knife and sand blasted, the knife finished and went home with a somewhat heavy heart
the knife is exactly like I would have wanted it directly from CRK
and therein, as the Bard would tell us, lies the rub: the knifemaker is someone I call a very good friend and the other party is someone I most often look up to because of his honorable conduct and how he handles things, it wasn't a good the thing the falling out between these two but there's nothing one can do
the knife will always remind me that no one is perfect and that it takes time to do good work
enough talk...
here's a video of the Nyala
