I'm probably not the only one here who thinks a Nyala in CPM 3V would be awesome. I don't care much about corrosion resistance because I keep my things obsessively clean and dry. I don't hunt so my knife doesn't constantly have blood/guts on it.

I've also heard that although 3V is usually used in large choppers due to its incredible toughness, when hardened upwards of 62 HRC, CPM 3V works quite well for smaller "beat-up" blades.

CRK isn't going to do this, but if they did — I'd so be in.

3V wouldn't give anything more than the current S35VN in that size knife.

How much toughness would one really need in a knife with a 3.75" blade that S35VN couldn't handle?

I love the Nyala, I'd get one just to try it out.
I've used my Nyala's for everything I can and the S35VN has surprised me endlessly- seems like it's on another level above my Sebenza's. 3V is supposed to hold an edge even better, I'd happily beta test that for the fine folks at CRK if one ever become reality.

I'll add that to my list of wants with the Damascus Tanto and Insingo😞

My list of wants includes a larger belt loop on the Nyala sheath and wooden scales. Sebenza gets wood inlays, Nyala deserves wood scales.

I sort of have one in A2. :p

If I was given a choice of steel 3v would be up there, it's one of my favorites. I would also not say no to a high wear resistant steel like s90v for perhaps more specific uses, the Nyala is a nice design suited to a range of tasks. :)

^^ which model is that?

It is and it isn't.....That knife is a "Scout" and was never actually made by CRK. If you want one it has to be ground from one of the OPK skinners. :)

It's actually one of my main user fixed blades and a firm favorite.... and a knife CRK probably should have made. :p
