NYC residents and antique knives?

Just a quick question, I understand that NYC does not allow individuals to own bayonets, etc. However, what if an individual wants to collect knives, which are considered antiques such as Civil War, WWI, WWII, etc. bayonets or the trench knives used in WWI? I do know that there are exemptions for guns produced prior to 1898. However, how are knives viewed in this scenario. Keep in mind, I am not talking about carying them while walking down the street.

I can't imagine that this is not allowed. However, there is no mention (that I noticed anyway) in the NYC Penal Code.

This is one of those unclear areas as a bayonet would fall under the dagger/stiletto/dirk definitions. NYC does not have a Penal Law ( there is a NYS Penal Law and a NYC Admin Code). The NYSPL section 265 is written in Levine's section on this forum. I would think keeping them in your house as part of a collection, locked up is fairly safe as it is only questionable that they are illegal by the NYSPL and the NYC ADmin Code only bans carrying of knives with blades over 4".

This is the section of NYPL .....He possesses any dagger, dangerous knife, dirk, razor, stiletto,
imitation pistol, or any other dangerous or deadly instrument or weapon
with intent to use the same unlawfully against another......There is another section that states that intent is implied by possession....
