So.......I go to the NYC Custom Knife Show. I have a NICA tanto Sebenza, but as I pass by the Chris Reeve table I spot a shining star!

It's a Unique Large Sebenza with Devin Thomas Damascus black and white Raindrop blade.

"Gaaaa"............"Geegaa"....... I stutter.

take a quick mental inventory of the cash in my pocket, and think to myself, "If I walk away, some one else will buy it."

Reach into my pocket, and ask, "How Much?" and start counting.

It's Gorgeous!

Who's willing to post a picture for me?

Thanks guys, I usually only buy something if I'm willing to use it. Not to expensive, fits in my hand, I'm not worryied about scratching it up etc. This one.........is my first safe queen.

As I mentioned to tallpaul when I e-mailed him the pic. That knife photography is tougher then it looks. This is the first time I've really tried to get a GOOD picture of a knife, and it is not as easy as you might think! I bow to the buddha nature in all of those folks who have the patience to produce the photographs that we constantly see on these forums.

If you haven't tried it yet, here is a quick note on the problems I faced. How do I get the entire knife in the photo and still show the patterns in the Damascus? To far away, the pattern gets fuzzy, to close can't see the whole knife. I could have done close up's but it would have been difficult without a tripod. Then there is the reflection/glare problem. Made easier, some what, by the damascus pattern, but more difficult by the polished handle slab. I can't IMAGINE trying to do this with a mirror polished knife like the Monarch balisongs.

So again, I bow to the devoted knife photographers of BFC and their Buddha nature.
