I was thinking of designing a knife at Pete's and was considering a nylon sheath. Do these hold the knife pretty tight? there is some ballistic nylon that seems better made than others...thanks, rob
p.s. I already have a black leather one..

I really like my nylon sheath. I have several Pete's 110's, and carry them all at one time or another, but always use the 1 nylon sheath I got, unless I'm out with the scouts. It holds it securely, and is less bulky than the other sheaths, so it doesn't get as much notice at work.

Peace, Al Folsom

I picked up some Tree Brand leather pouches real cheap at a gun show recently. The large works perfectly for the 110 if stretched a bit at the bottom. These have slots cut in the back of the pouch istself for belt mounting, which makes them ride much tighter to the body than the loop Buck uses.

P.S. I'm anxiously awaiting my first from Pete. I specified the ballistic nylon for it. It looks much better than the POS nylon "bag" that came with my present 110.

I like the nylon sheath. Like Folsom said, it is not as bulky and noticeable as the leather.

I usually carry a 110 in one of two ways. In the nylon sheath or a Bianchi (model 10A Size 1) single stack .45 magazine holder, which can be tucked into the waistband.

The seams from the belt loop on the nylon sheath leave wear marks on the knife after awhile, but it doesn't seem to be as hard on the knife as the leather sheath. On the other hand, I have had no wear problems with the Bianchi magazine holder and it gets the most use.

thanks, I think I will go for the nylon, from pete's. Thinking of getting the buffalo horn with a bg42 blade. I have also considered the stag handled in bg42. Both of these handle materials would also look good with a mirror polished blade, I think. I noticed one of our distinguished members has one in asian buffalo horn and damascus. I forget his name, but he posted the cool pics in another thread. I need to come clean and tell him that I copied his latest aquisition...checkered cherry wood with brass bolsters and the champagne TiN coating. Sorry, but, don't they say that immitation is the greatest form of flattery? I just figured that would be a pretty one that would not be too expensive to use( $93.00 ). stay safe, rdogout
