I have been using a Sebenza for years (In Remembrance of World Trade Center model). When I'm in jungle expeditions I like to bring a 10 inch blade with me with a sebenza for small chores. My problem is that I sometimes must cross small streams and get wet. The only sheath I could find for my large sebby is the leather one and I don't want to get it wet. Anybody know of a good ready made nylon sheath for a large sebby. I bought one online that was supposed to be for strider folders but the sebby is too small for it and falls out. Thanks in advance for any tips. I would like a "tried and true" tip if possible - not conjecture. Thanks!

Tadgear makes a great sheath, Eagle Industries makes great stuff, and so does TAG Gear. I like Eagle the best. Attachments for both vertical and horizontal carry.

I have a Blackhawk, and I don't think it is a very snug fit at all. It keeps the knife in there, but their sheath seems to be more profiled for the CQD Mark I, with a narrow bottom, and a wide top. I have one from when I was in the military, but I would not buy it w/ my own $$ for a Sebenza.

This is the one I have, although it may be the larger version; either way, the shape of the two pouches is the same:

No idea on the Blackhawk, I don't own any of their products.

I have owned the eagle one for about 18 years:eek: Anyway, I carried a Benchmade 600 (Brend) in it for about 5 years or so till I about a Large Sebenza in 1998. I carried the Sebenza in it for a couple of years. I usually only use leather sheaths, but then again, I am not in a jungle environment.

I'm always inspired by guys that carry the same knife for more than a couple of years! (although it makes me realize that I love new toys even more than I thought). One of the knife makers found under "makers" here on the forum, Jeremy Horton has a local guy that might be able to make something for you? I don't know his name, and don't know if he does any custom work, but I remember linking to his website through a thread and remember him having some nice nylon stuff. Might be worth an email to Horton.
