Hi-
Noob to BF here. I just got a Tomcat 3.0. Was looking it over and noticed that it appears to have nylon washers. It works *perfectly*, and is tight and rock-solid. Nothing wrong with the knife at all. It's just that i kind of expected phos-bronze washers in such a higher-end piece.
Is there a particular reason SOG used nylon washers? Are they the best for a knife this size? Or was it some other reason?
Am i wrong in thinking that phos-bronze are always better, smoother, and longer-lasting than nylon washers?
Thanks in advance for any feedback on the issue!
