Here is one I am trying to get finished for a Art Show this weekend, Ive not tried this endeavor before or even know what category it will fall in, but what the heck. That is if I get it finished and the sheath done.
Steel is O-1
3/16 X 1 ½ at the widest point 8 ½ OAL 4 ½ from bolster to tip. RC 59-60
File work is a modified rope pattern and the pins have a flower cut into them just for grins.
Bolsters are 316 SS that are dove tailed
Handle is made of Osage and Cocobolo. The handle is 8 total pieces, and when I do this again I will go about it different or I hope a easier rout than the one I took this time. Osage was used instead of fiber and there is turquoise inlayed in two bands.
Tank is tapered to .750 and the cutting edge down to .20
Thank goodness I have a little more time before I start the knife for the blade forum x-mas exchange .can someone please make time stand still for a few more months.
Thank You for looking, I will post pic of the complete package if I get it entered
