I've got to send this chef's knife off in the mail tomorrow, after I sharpen it up this evening, but thought I'd take a few quick photos and post for your amusement! The lighting was horrible, as you can see. Shiny handle! I prefer satin myself.

.156" O1 tool steel on request.
Walnut Burl handle, black G10 liners
SS Pins
13" OAL, 8" blade.

Gorgeous, I'd like to see the top down view of the handle.
How much are you selling that for, if you don't mind my asking?

That looks to have great balance.

You already know I dig the hell out of that walnut...

Nice stuff, bud.

Beautiful piece... what created the striped effect in the blade??

When doing cutlery in O1 do you use the secondary hardening curve or stay within the normal tempering range?

Hey Matthew I love that walnut as well. You know me I like the satin or flat look. But this guy wanted the gloss. The stripes in the blade were a reflection of something above me. There were tree branches but not sure where the colored stripes came from. It is probable they're reflections from the building that was behind me
And O1 stay in the normal tempering range. 300-550f or so.

Great looking blade! With that thickness of steel what type of grind did you do? FFG? S grind?

Thank you, Robert! I like your Scripture in the signature line. The steel thickness was requested specifically, 0.156", and the ol' full flat grind. Plunge is underneath the handle front, at that angle.
