Besides the fact that I did get to see and gab with dozen's of friends, and speak
with the maker's that were new to me, the show on Sat. was really disapointing
430 table's of which 350 were good if you were looking for cheap production blades in the $10-$30 range, the exibits were very good!! Lectures.. also #1, it was just the flea mkt. feel that I think keep more dealers, makers, ect. from even showing up, anyway, what did you think.... G.

This was my fourth year at the O.K.C.A. show. I built special folders for this show and priced them less than my wholesale. None sold. The quality of a show really depends on the quality of the customers. This show HAS become a flea market.

I thought it was a pretty good show. I heard a number of vendors remark that they thought the good weather was keeping the non-buying window shoppers away, making business brisk. But then again, this was probably the first show where I decided that I wasn't going to spend much time looking at the $500+ customs. I went looking exclusively for older traditional $50-$200 folders and $80-$300 production knives, mostly autos. There was plenty of those there for me.

There were a number of the flea market type vendors there, but not so much of it that I felt like they were taking over the show.

I'm looking forward to next year's show.
