O.K. I bought a Spyderco Para Military

And a SERE 2000, Blade Tech PHM and a ZT 0200.

I like the Para Military. The compression lock works better for me than any other Spyderco lock has. The overall design is rather like my Strider Sng.
This could be the Spyderco I’ve been waiting for.

The SERE 2000 is just an incredible knife for the money. These Al Mars are really nice.
I simply can’t recommend these models highly enough. The fit and finish is on par with knives costing much more.

These are the only knives I’ll buy with a black blade ON PURPOSE. The coating is almost like ceramic or something.


I found this Blade Tech PHM for $120. Never had one before and the price was right.
Not a bad knife for the money. In fact, I like it a lot.

I bought a ZT 0200 instead of an 0350 for a couple of reasons.
I don’t care for the new ZT 0350. It has the AO feature which I don’t like, and really doesn’t make me think of ‘ZT’ when I see it. Actually it made me think of Emerson.

Too bad, the size and weight of the 0350 is more to my taste. But, like someone said in this forum, ‘The 0350 is very un-ZT like”.

So, I settled on the 0200.
This is an impressive knife to say the least.
It is typical ZT, just a tank. Not EDC pocket friendly though.
It really is heavy. It makes my Fallkniven PXL feel small and light.
 
Nice blades! I love the Paramilitaries. They are the best EDC IMO. I've had ZT and Bladetech, although different models than yours. They're both good but I didn't like them near as much as the Paras. I would like to try an Al Mar SERE some day.

the sere is a beast. it has a sick pocket clip and is built like a tank.

its not exactly value incarnate but w/ever its worth the 160 or so dollars youll need to procure one.

The SERE and Para Military are two knives that every collector must check out.

Even a non-collector who is looking for one all around knife should consider any of these.
