I just spent the 436.95 on the FBM with magnum handles. Now tell me good stuff about it so I don't feel so bad. I am going to have to off a gun to justify this purchase, so please tell me what a good choice I made. I'm sure I'll love it. Does anyone know what the ETA is on one of these babys is anyway?
I am going to go camping the week I get this thing and chop until my hands either bleed or are blistered severely. Thanks Jerry, you can really put a man in the hole:D

I ordered one also!

Don't feel bad, we probably won't get billed for quite some time!

Aw, man...! You bought one of those??? what a piece of...  ...Kickazz INFI madness!!! AND the mags! Oh, you're gonna like this! Have you heard about the warranty??? CHOP away!!!
No Regrets!! I got several... ahem ... ok several MORE than several ordered myself. :D It'll be awhile... into the new year, I think, before billing/ shipping.
Those HOGZ wiser than me should be along shortly with more accurate info or with congrats on pulling the trigger. Bullseye!
Jaxx:cool:

What you did here today, you should have no shame about......you are doing the Hogs bidding and you are and will be a powerful servant!!

Seven, I think you will be very happy with your decision! If it is not all you hoped it would be when it arrives you will have no trouble selling it for what you paid for it and maybe some more. I had that same nervousness when I bought my SFNO (2 years ago now?). That was supposed to be the knife to end all knife purchases and I have been back to the trough many times since including 2 Fusion Steel Hearts - One HOG grade and one HH...not to mention my FBM LE on order. The mag slabs are the way to go too. You have chosen well :D

No Regrets!! You only live once, and this is the first good choice among many to come! As far as ETA, it will be some time yet...at least a few months from the time of your order probably...

"It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife; the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sun up. Sleep tight, mates, in your quilted Chambray nightshirts."

That is a great Seinfeld quote.

My advice is to get stinking drunk and order an LE. You'll feel awful in the morning, but that first knife will seem like nothing. :D

NO REGRETS!!!

I'm sure when it arrives (two weeks :D ) you'll know why!

And I agree with Guyon... buy the LE and you'll hardly notice the FBM sting. :p

This thread is dangerous to my health. I am so close to droppin' the hammer on one of these. (Now if the wife will just go to sleep)

As Arnold would say, "Drop Da Hamma!" ... "Go on, DROP IT!"

Everyone MUST have a FBM.
The question is, pay me now, or pay me later?
be the original owner, or the second ot third owner, the choice is yours.

"I was told two weeks, but that was a week ago, so that means three weeks from today. Right?"

"2 weeks" or "2 weeks Busse time?" Slight difference.:p You won't regret it. Once you get that big chopper, go out to your (or your neighbor's) yard and chop down a few trees and have fun! If the neighbor complains, look at him with a gleam in your eye and smile! That should send him running!

Ordered the FBM with magnums as well, curious to see how much bigger those grips will be over standards. Enjoy your "chop sticks".

Why it's better to buy the FBM than the gun:

For 436.95 you can get the best there is. You can't get near the "best there is" gun for that price.

The instant you acquire the gun it is a used gun, and you cannot get all of your money back for it if needed. The FBM is "new" until you use it, and you can get every penny back, perhaps more. Once you use the FBM, it becomes a guilt-free user for someone else if you decide to sell it, and that in itself is an intangible value.

President Hillary will not try to confiscate your knife (not for a few more years, anyway.)

You already have a perfectly serviceable gun. The need for another is just marketing hype. You don't yet have a perfectly serviceable FBM.

Try finding such a cool forum from a gun company!

I agree with everything but this one. If I buy a new gun and never shoot it, I'm selling that sucker as new. :D

What can I say? First, I ordered a CG FBM. Then I thought about it. Then I ordered an FBM LE.

I'm obviously hooked and I obviously think you did the right thing.

No Regrets.

And they won't be here until several months into CY07 at the earliest.

Sweet.......I have owned Two SHBM's in the past (one of them was one of the first 300 made) and a SHSH. Along with a CGSJ and a basic #3 and #9. So I know these knives are as tough as they come. I currently don't own any Busse knives as I sold them all. But I think I remember Jerry saying that these new knives were CNC machined. Is This true? I hope so. It will take out a lot of the manufacturing differences inherent in their older knives. I wish Chris Reeve would CNC his primary bevels. I have a project one that isn't perfectly ground and it annoys me, because he has the technology to produce perfect blades though he insists on hand grinding the bevels. I would just rather have a perfectly ground blade that I can beat the snot out of myself. To each his own.
