O- ring and thread lube?

I use Haynes Lubri-film, it's a pretty decent lubricant, it was recommended to be because it is food safe also
 
go to the hardware store and grab some silicone grease. i use nyogel on my flashlights :)
 
Quick safety check though - don't use lubricant in connections involving high pressure (and particularly oxidising) gases. Lube can catch fire - just replace the O-ring
 
I was gonna use it for flashlights and possibly a Pelican case, not really high pressure.
