This is a re-post for the leather handle Short KA-BAR (1250), but it should also work for the synthetic (I don't own one so I haven't tried it)
Plumbin' fixture O-rings in the handle groves of your Short KA-BAR...
Increases the diameter a little and adds a lot of non-slip grip.
O-Rings for KA-BARs
(Five groves from Guard to Pommel)
- Drag the grooves w/ a loop of string to clean/clear them.
- Work from Pommel to Guard.
