O/T - Comm Check

MSN is back on their goat-rope rodeo again. Tsimi, Yvsa, Al - somewhere out there, either rattling around in an MSN server, or mis-sent to the phantom phone booth in Schenectady (where lost e-mails go) are messages. :confused:

I returned your e-mail @ 6:43p.m. after receiving it @ 5:12 p.m.
What's going on with WebTV's e-mail program. There used to be never a hitch in it. Did they "improve it?";) :p :rolleyes: :D

I haven't heard back from you since posting here a bit back. I know you must have sent something back in response to the katana review :) .

If you are getting this, flash the woodchuck light three times in the sky at 7:00... oh shoot, you're an hour ahead... okay 9:00... flash the big light at 9:00 (your time)... If I don't see it in the eastern sky, then I know we have problems in Ky... (and you just thought it was good for wood emergencies)

After using the kids new computer in Pennsylvania I knew that I really wanted a computer finally.
I really should've done it much soner for several reasons. I like all the things a computer will do over WebTV's capacitie's.
When my son in law was here I bought the extra memory and had him put it in. Took all of 20 minutes or so. I know he had it doen before I even knew he had taken the case apart. It was all back together and warming up when I said, "Already?!?!?!?!?"
I now have 512 rams of memory, the most I can put in this 'puter.:(

It's nice doing more than one browser too. Bro why don't you open a hotmail account if you don't already have one. Your e-mail may fly on it.?
 
Several of the puter users on my list are having e-mail problems as well. Uncles's are coming through with about an hour delay. Al's and Yvsa's aren't here yet, and Tsimi probably won't see his until tomorrow AM. I just got one sent at 0100 today, from here in Ky. MSN and AOL have always been on the outs over coding compatibility - MSN didn't want java and AOL didn't want html, in the e-mails. Each claimed the other left too many holes for hackers, and of course both were right. I only want this for e-mail and surfing. Most of the other attributes of puters just don't interest me. If I wanted to spend the bucks for a digital or a camcorder, I could send pics, but the need is rare, so I spend the money on Khuks :) Otherwise, if the system is maintained, the little black box will suffice. I've worked computers since 1956 (first automated NYC rail yard in Indianapolis) and have been involved with them until I retired in 1990. This is as far as I've been tempted to go on a personal level.

Mail sent and yours and Tsmi's are coming through like clockwork - either they have me on a server that runs on real genuine electricity, or they put a new squirrel on the treadmill in the old one. What are you up to?????

Dayumed strange winter we're having this year. We are in the midst of a thunderstorm right now with several tornado watches in effect around the state.
Barb opened the doors and turned off the furnace this morning early as it was over 60* outside.
It's supposed to be 69* by this weekend. Hay'ull you would almost think you were in Phoenix except for the rain.:)
Barb and me are gonna stay tucked in the rest of the day. Sure glad we didn't have any runnin' to do today.

That sounds like western SD weather... it snows, it melts, it rains... At least we don't have tornados until May :eek:
