O.T.Crossbows and samurai swords banned in Victoria

Next all "citizens" (or "subjects") will be issued those plastic non-pointy scissors so they can't hurt themselves.
 
Reading the article, and the "justification" for banning the weapons, it could easily be concluded that if you were to pick up a rock and bash somebody's brains out with it that rocks would be added to the illegal list. After all, "sticks and stones may break my bones".:mad: :( :confused:

Sylvrfalcn is right. The article also states the ban "(...is to prevent people from walking around with...)"

I'll have to ask my Austrailian pals how often they run into Samurai-wielding adversaries during the average day.

Ya know, if i was in a bar, and ended up in a situation, anything in the vicinity within reach would become an instant weapon. From glass bottle, to bar stool, to pool cue, to ash tray. If i was in a certain situation, i'd yank off my belt and wield it as a whip, a buckle hurts! Car keys, tire iron, heck they already banned metal lunch boxes in some places, i'd use a briefcase if i needed to!

So yeah, this is rediculous...
And it isn't going to stop at crossbows.
 
By the logic that they use, all gyms and martial arts schools should be closed . I mean after all what reason does a person have to be stronger AND know how to defend themselves. After all they MIGHT do something bad. Gonzo_Beyondo is right. Here in Georgia it is now illegal to carry any "offensive OR defensive knife". So if I am attacked I can not defend myself with a knife cause that would be illegal????? :mad:
 
Sarge has picked up on my favorite line: Let's ban rocks and large sticks.

PS: I forgot to add that all kitchen knives should be made out of flexible plastic.
 
The 'sheeple' allow this to happen! If we are not careful it is going to happen here. From the posts, it already is.

Weapons do NOT kill people, People KILL people. Why can't the sheeple understand that.
