On another forum I asked Daniel Watson (knightsteel) if there were any other limits on the "sword" other then the limit of six feet in length. He said that the limit on lenghth was it, other then that any thickness, width etc. Now I wonder who here thinks that a 30" AK would count as a sword. It is under six feet long. How do you think it would do? I have a 25" Kobra and a 25" AK if I could get my hands on some decent tatami I would love to see how it would do. Hey Dan, maybe we could get together and make a six foot long Little Moby. Say four foot of blade two foot of handle. Say 3 inches wide or so. Just a thought.

I like both my Falcata and Tarwar...wouldn't want either coming at me!

A giant lil' moby would surely scare the locals....I like it....but you get to do the forging....:D

:p

An HI katana would be a natural
especially if they wouldn't accept a longer khuk.

I'd really like to see a head to head with a wide variety of chopping blades.

I would like to this also. Not sure how it would do in something like this since the size difference would be just to much to overcome. I don't know about forging one Dan. I would consider breaking out my trusty angle grinder then belt sander and make one by stock removal, not that there would be anyplace to get a six foot sword heat treated. Perhaps the Sher could just whip up a 6" HI katana for me ;) I would like to see the look on their face when they got that order! They want what?

But the look on their faces would be nothing compared to the look on our faces when we got the order back with a 4 foot handle and a 2 foot blade....

:D

With Nasty's scary sharp edges...they'd outcut swords twice their length, and be more forgiving than some of the more specialised man-slashers.

Actually, Dan, I'd take one of those in a heartbeat.
