If you have a remote control door opener for your automobile, determine the distance in which it begins to function... Step back another 20 feet and try again; it definitely doesn't function, does it? Place the font end of the unit against the side of your head (perpendicular to your skull and pressed against same)... Press the button... What happens, and would any physicist care to explain?

This is a great conversational experiment for all of us who go to work in the morning. :D Have fun teaching the technique to your colleagues... ;)

I'm pretty sure the contact lets your whole body act as an antenna. Been doing it ever since some little blonde showed me the trick. A few years back some outfit had a TV antenna that plugged into an outlet. It let the tv use your home's wiring as an antenna. :)

It works, as long as you don't mind putting an extra bit of electromagnetic energy through you head...

I just got a new SUV with a remote that has a panic button on it. My older cars didn't.
New electronic gizmo for me.

I was in the kitchen or livingroom (driveway out the window), when a car horn started blasting. I looked outside to see what it was, and nothing. No vandals or burglers.

Went in the house, and it started again.
Looked outside, and no one was there.

I was setting off the alarm.
I had the remote in the same pocket with other keys - lots of them. Any sudden move set off the panic button. Horns blared, lights flashed....
No more.
The car key goes on a hook when in the house, and in a separate pocket when I am outside.

I really don't like the remote entry system.

does this trick work equally well if you place the remote against the side/front of other organs or body parts? :p

That depends on the length of the um...antennae.

What does it do, make your zipper go up and down? :p :D ;)

Is that what happened to you when you followed the prodedure... :D

It's NOT SUPPOSED to do that, but may work differently on different folks; you might have an unusually large antenna if this happened, and I'm sorry if you were publicly "compromised"! :D :

Heavens No!!!! I don't even own a garage let alone an opener for one!!!! :p
I'm setting in what used too be the doorway too the garage on my house. I enclosed the garage door and knocked out the living room wall to make a living room big enough too swing a cat in.
Not everyone can afford a 20 room villa with a four car garage and a new Lambo. :p :D ;)
And A Garage Door Opener! :D

Yvsa, living frugally in Oklahoma.;)
