My daughter sent me this. I don't know where she got it.

Dear Abby,

I recently read your column advising grandparents on "tough love" for grandparents to give misbehaving grandchildren, whose own parents let them run wild. I have followed your advice, and enclosed a picture demonstrating my technique when my grandson just won't behave while I'm babysitting for his parents. They have told me not to spank him, so I just take him for a ride, and he usually calms down afterward.

Signed me,

Tough Love Grandma

Steve

That's my kind of grandma!!!! Personally I just slap thier hands or bust their ass once or twice. Standing them in the corner with nothing to look at does a lot of good too.
Our daughter seldom brings all three kids to our house at once because she knows how damned aggravated I get because She doesn't Make them Mind!!!!:grumpy:
Since the kids have learned that I don't let 'em get away with nothing most of the time all I have to do is give 'em "The Glare" and then they won't make eye contact, but thier shirtail doesn't hit thier ass until they quit doing whatever they were doing.
They also know I tell 'em three times and after that the talking is done.
Daughter has quit telling them, "Grandpa's gonna get you!" I told her the kids were scared enough of me without her doing that. And that they Knew I would, "get them" if they didn't behave.:D
I'm very blessed to have been given a real harsh voice. Most kids are scared of me from the get go just hearing me talk. I like that!!!! A lot!!!!:D

Steve, LOL:D Thanks for sharing.

Yvsa, while I'm glad I didn't need a grandfather like you, I glad your grandkids have you.

When the gradkids misbehave they catch it from me too Yvsa. The parents have all got after me for dealing out a bit of discipline but, I told them if all they were going to do is let them be hoolums at Granma's house and don't want any one saying something to them. Take them back to Austin and leave them there with a baby sitter. I can usually handle one or two at a time but when they bring the whole crowd. Grandma and I are both glad when they leave.:)

I was a student of the wooden spoon and the slipper. :)

My grandma had a '73 Mustang V8, I'm glad I was a good kid!!!
