I live about 40 miles from Rimini, which is an international resort town on the Adriatic coast. They have a giant water sports complex (as in pools, slides, etc.), a Sea World type attraction called Oltremondo, and others. We hopped in a two seater, and had a nice ride on an unusually cool 25.5° C. June day. My son asked to listen to ZZ Top for the ride up to Rimini
Sea World had a nice dolphin show, an alligator exhibit, several well done mini shows raptors, domesticated animals, & turtles, and an incredible aquarium dedicated to seahorses; in collaboration with the Baltimore Aquarium. The whole complex was well done, organized, and immaculately clean, although small compared to Sea World.
After about 4 hours we headed to an Indian restaurant in Rimini recently opened by my friend, Dulal, who is a Bangladesh national. He worked really hard for 7 years in the shipyards of Ancona, learned Italian real well, and along with a very cheery and extrovert personality, started a successful Indian restaurant with some Bangladesh and Indian personell. The one in Rimini is his second, and was recently inaugurated.
The quality of the naan changed for the better, and I asked him if he had a new chef, and he did. The new chef is from Nepal, and I asked to meet him. Super nice person, who is destined to do well for himself and his family in Italy. I find that most of the third world immigrants here in Italy assimilate well when they learn the language and its nuances well, and have an outgoing personality. Anyway, I asked the chef to write a brief message in Nepali
P.S. No, my son isnt flipping me off in the photo...!
