So I've been getting interested in Philippine knives, and have been scouring Ebay for what I could afford. Not the top of the line stuff, but interesting pieces. Well this guy had this big knife, and I bought it for a song. He listed the dimensions, but I thought they must be mistaken. Well they were. It's even bigger than described. It's 28 1/2" overall, with a 4 1/2" WIDE
by .275" thick blade! The sucker weighs 5lbs.-6 oz.! Move over HI Bowie! Now I know this is a tourist piece, but it has a Massive piece of Carabao horn for a handle with a through-tang, peened on the butt. It looks like there is lead poured into the horn handle around the tang. The brass guard looks actually cast onto the blade.
You're probably thinking this is an April fools joke, but it's not! This monstrosity was waiting for me when I got home today. What a hoot! Take care my friends.

PS. the funny look on my face is me straining to hold this thing up while my son fiddled with the camera.
