Strange things are afoot. Must be the greenhouse effect I've been reading about.;) Just last week we had a low of 7* and now today were due to have highs of around 70*!!!! Ain't no wonder there's as much sickness in Oklahoma as there is, you never know how to dress for the weather, cold one day and a heat wave the next!
But Me Likey! I'm dayumed sure not complaining!:D

We had a Sweat last Friday for the Winter Soltice and our annual New Year Days Sweat is this Saturday. We froze our asses off until the Lodge got steamed up Friday but if the weather holds it's gonna be really nice this Saturday.

Same here in Texas. Houston to Corpus Christi had the most snow (10 inches) they had seen in over 100 years about a week ago and today I'm wearing shorts and a tshirt (highs today in the lower 70s) here in Dallas! :)

We had record snow fall here in Evansville on the 22nd, highs in the teens and 20s through Christmas, now 50's and 60's expected through at least monday. I never thought 20+" of snow could melt off in 2 or 3 days. What a mess, but i'm not going to complain. It can stay in the 50's until spring for all i care:)

Twenty foot Plus!!!! Surely that didn't all come down at once?
But even if it didn't all come down at once that much melting in just a couple or three days would really be a Huge Mess!:grumpy:

:D it's ok, Yvsa. I do the same thing all the time. It's amazing what a big difference a little chicken scratch will make;) Around here in the southern part of the state 20" might as well be 20'. We really weren't prepared for anything more than probalby 10", then tack on the subzero weather, then the Chrismas holiday (not to mention last minute shoppers). All i can say is thank goodness for the 4WD car and a burger joint within walking distance (although hip deep in the white stuff).

It felt liike 60 here yesterday, and today it is 12 degrees or so and snowing.

And So Calif had a tornado yesterday!

OUr weather is not nearly as nice. Snowing lightly right now with temp at about 34. Predicted weather -- snow, highs about 40, lows about 20 or slightly below, -- this same prediction for 7 days straight. If I don't see the sun in 7 days I'm going to be in depression.

Thanks for weather report.

I'm with you Yvsa....and enjoying the roller coaster ride in NW Ark. weather.

the Nova runs better in warm weather.....can't complain....

Yep, I was watching on the news this morning. 62 degrees in Atlanta and snow reported in Houston and Mexico....

ain't normal

Only this time it's going down hill instead of up! Been raining the last couple of days and today it started freezing, then freezing rain and sleet. Some places in northeastern Oklahoma were covered with white ice up to a couple of inches thick!
Lot's of wrecks on the roads. One family of five, a mother and four kids from 5 to 15 were killed when their big Lincoln Town Car lost control on the ice, went across the median and got broadsided by one of the big Dodge Pickups. No doubt going too fast for conditions.:(

Just a few days ago it was shirt sleeve weather and now it's 22* with a wind chill of 8* with 87 % humidity!
If I had a brass monkey I would've already brought him in from outside!!!!
It's gonna be colder than a Witch's Teat in Brass Brasiere tonight for us!  Brrrrrr.;) :grumpy:

It's been around zero here. The Sun was out, and the air wasn't moving. It was good. There was still snow caught in the tree limbs and occasionally some would break loose and fall, just a gentle puff. The air is dry and it feels much warmer than it is. It's good.

ice frozen on the windshield already tonight....yet, yesterday....bright-n-sunny.

Snowing and blowing here like mad! Has been storming and freezing for 3 days straight! I'm lovin' it!

just FYI, Yvsa.....got down to -2 degrees last night here. How 'bout o'er yonder?

Ice storm here last night. Trip home took three hours instead of 45 minutes. Many, many cars and trucks in the ditch and median. Still some mules trying to go 60 mph.

There's always the few that make it dangerous for everyone else. I always laugh my ass off when I drive a little ways and see them in the ditch.:D
