Forgive me for writing on this topic, I decided not to create a new topic and ask a question here: do you use night vision binoculars while hunting? I noticed that there is a rather big trend for them. I do not understand why. Is this one of those things that everyone supposedly should have?

In most states hunting game animals after sunset or before daybreak is illegal.
However, shooting invasive nuisance critters like wild hogs on private farmland are sometimes GTG.
Check local laws, YMMV.
Shooting game at night might get you a meeting with the local Game warden, to explain what you are shooting at

Some folks do use Night Vision scopes to cull wild hogs at night, but that's not exactly why they are popular.

Good night vision gear is crazy expensive.
Cheap NV is not even in the same ballpark as the good stuff.
