This is my first attempt using O1 steel and I actually liked how it profiled out. I attached some Culpepper & Company burnt amber scales to some thin Gaboon ebony strip liners for the handle. I put a hair popping edge on it and I think it's ready for this years hunting season....just hope my aim is.

Well, I gave it to a co-workers son, Carson. He's 12 years old, loves to hunt with his Dad. Sad thing is, he's facing an open heart surgery soon to fix a heart valve defect he was born with. I couldn't think of a better person to give it to. It made the boy's day to get it and mine to give it to him. I told him all I wanted for it was a picture of him using it in the field when he's feeling healthy again. I'll post the picture of him with it as I get it.

Best of luck, Carson, you'll be fine!:thumbup:

Here's Carson with his new knife and a table full of fresh birds to break it in on that he took on the opening day Tuesday.:thumbup:

I couldn't ask for a better home to have seen that blade go to. Best of luck to you, Carson, enjoy the blade buddy!
