O1 small criollo, synthetic ivory handle

Hello, this one is a small criollo I finished some time ago.
By it's size and place where it's carried, in Argentina we call it "verijero".
Blade material: O1 steel
Blade lenght: 4.7"
Handle material: synthetic ivory
Sheath material: row cow leather stitched with horse leather.

That looks great. The sheath is very nice as well. What exactly is synthetic ivory? How durable is it compared to say micarta?
 
that's nice.....what's the pricing like on these criollo knives?

This synthetic ivory was a gift so I don't know much about it, I can tell you that is soft, nice to work with, similar for that matter to pertinax o bone, it takes a good shine and you can do scrimshaw in it.
Spyken, I'm still not registred as a maker in this forum so it won't be proper for me to speak of prices here, hope you understand.
