Here`s another one I`ve been kicking around for a while.

Specs:
9 3/4" overall
5" blade
3/16" thick O1 steel
Rounded spine
Thumb ramp
Saber grind
Kydex sheath with belt loop

I`m thinking around $175 + $8 shipping for this one. Thoughts? Opinions?

Yeah - looks like a handful. Competition for The TOOL at the wood pile :D.

Sweet!

It reminds me of a Kephart, but with more attitude!

I really like the way you are doing the choil on your latest knives, really nice!

What was your inspiration for this new model?

best

I wanted to add to my line with a bigger budget model knife. Keep it reasonably priced for the people who prefer a large knife. I don`t think you will find any other maker offering a tool of this quality for the price.

I should also mention my thoughts about a few of the features. The small cutout by the choil works perfect as a firesteel striker, and if you choose to baton wood, the rounded spine won`t chew up your baton. This one was designed as a "get you back home" knife.

Looks really great, John. A "Camp 5" so to speak? Really like the looks of the handle although I wonder how it will fit my hand.

Me likes, but it can't be an Element 01 if it's not $100.

Compound01
Alloy01
Carbon01
Essential01

Just my opinion

This one should actually just be an Element Survivor, especially since I made this prototype from CPMS30V!

Yes - very good point. That muddies up the brand and confuses the weak minded .

Well, if I get any orders for one, I will hold a "Name The Knife" contest, with the winner getting $20 off their next order.

I think you've already named it. Give yourself $20 off :D

Or as an alternative - call it the JK Back Country. I know you haven't really started a contest but I could use the $ 20.00 - that is - towards the purchase of my next JK knife - an XD XM Bowie.

I guess there is no interest in this model. I thought that at that price it would be more popular.
