I had a rest piece of 8mm O1 laying around and thought I could make a nice little user out of it. Here is the result.

The blade is between 8 and 10 cm long (it is drying right now, so I'm not going to measure it). The handle I've kept a bit longer than usual, since I'll be bringing this knife to the sweden knifeshow. Because of the long winters over there, I thought a long handle might come in handy when wearing gloves.

Spine 4 mm and tapered to the point, satin finish 1000 grit, grip oak burl.

The curving part between ricasso and blade can be used for the firesteel. I hardened this part also, to get as many sparks as possible.

leather sheath with firesteel I still have to make.

ok here are some pics:

Very nice :)

I like the bit for striking the ferro rod, same style as the Bowie if I remember

I really like it, perfect for bushcraft!!!
Congratulations.
O1 is for me one of the best steels for Bushcraft knives.

you remember right! it's the same style only in a smaller knife. more difficult to execute when everything is smaller....

@leandroc: I like O1 and O2 also for users, the steel gives a very good edge and is easy to resharpen.
