Hey guys, I was just on there website and saw there boots. They look cool any imput or recommendations. Im looking for a every day boot for work/every thing boot. Are they any good?

they look like they can take some abuse. tried it on, liked it but never bought it. I guess you could try them

they are decent. but remember that oakley specializes in optics, not footwear.

i would suggest a pair of danner acadias, which should last you 10-15 years, perhaps longer. resoleable and very comfortable. but you pay for quality.

i also have a pair of garmonts which are very comfortable, but not resoleable.

i have a pair of oakleys and have tried the 5.11's. neither are bad, but neither are great.

i decided that i would stick with companies that specialize in boots. its also important to remember, many boots will feel great in the store and/or for the first couple months. the real test is many months down the road once they have been broken in. if they are still just as comfortable, you have a quality boot. my oakleys and 5.11's aren't nearly as comfortable as they were the first dozen or so times i wore them. my danners, after 5 years, are still my most comfortable pair of footwear. and i wear them for at least 10 hours per day, and have worn them as long as 20+ hours.

It all depends on the model of Oakley you get I have a pair that while the most comfortable boots I have ever had are crazy squeeky and slippery on wet surfaces. I am not sure what the deal is but I slipped off a ladder at work and almost slipped off an apartment building roof because of the sole compound. Otherwise they are pretty damn nice they feel like you dipped your foot in boot lined in cloud. I have asked others who own Oakley boots but different models and the boots they have are not the same rubber compound and do not have the same problems.

I'd go with Bates or Altima (eXOspeeds) before I even look at a pair of Oakleys.

I've said it before and I'll say it again my Bates are THE most comfortable boot I've worn once I got them broken in.
