I wanted Tom Sr. to see this. He told me that he wanted an AR 15 because Obama was going to ban them. I'm not a fan of Obama, I'm not a fan of politicians for the most part. I am a fan of guns. I'm just an average carpenter, with an average income, and the 2 parties in power don't give a shit about people like me. The dumbocrats want to tax everyone and give my money to a bunch of Sacks of meat that are lazy, and corrupt, and no more than big babies that feel they are entitled to free rent, food, healthcare, childcare etc, they figure out how they can take advantage of theoretically good state programs so they can "Chill", smoke blunts and such. And let's face it, if you don't have millions of dollars available to grease the Republican scumbags they don't give a siit about you either. The Rich are getting richer and they want things to be like they were in Jolly old England during the middle ages. The king owned you, your house and family, the nobles owned everything else, less than 1% of the people controlled 99.9% of resources, and average people like me had to kill themselves working just to live in squalor, hunger, disease, while giving 90% of their produce to the nobility and there was absolutely no hope for a better future. The nobility didn't pay tax, only the poor payed. Neither of the above is appealing to me. The only upside is that I'll be dead before things get really bad for the average Joe, (At least I hope I will)
What I am interested in is the truth, and the facts are that President Obama has actually repealed more gun laws in his 1st year in office than Bush in 8 years, including many laws enacted by Ronald Reagan, Obama has made it legal to carry firearms in National Parks/Public land which makes a lot of sense, there's no reason a licensed gun owner should not be able to defend themselves in a public park. This is a copy of a letter from "The Brady campaign to end Gun Violence"
Dear President Obama,
Throughout your career, you have recognized that it is too easy for dangerous people to get deadly firearms. 110,000 Americans are killed or injured by guns each year. As a U.S. Senator and candidate, you promised to stand up to the gun lobby and fight for strong gun laws. I respectfully urge you to show that leadership once again as President.
I was disappointed that in your first year, you signed into law more repeals of good federal gun policies than in President George W. Bush's eight years in office. You repealed the Reagan era rules keeping loaded guns out of national parks, as well as post-9/11 policies safeguarding Amtrak from armed terrorist attacks.
Your Administration's extraordinary silence on the gun issue has emboldened the gun lobby to move its dangerous agenda forward.
Please take a leadership stand on legislation that would strengthen Brady criminal background checks, including closing the gun show loophole, as well as other sensible regulations like prohibiting gun sales to suspected terrorists and giving law enforcement the tools it needs to crack down on corrupt gun dealers. Law-abiding gun buyers and sellers have nothing to fear from these measures. Only criminals and corrupt gun sellers do.
Thank you for your consideration and renewed leadership on this issue.

Brady was Reagans press secretary, he was shot by Hinkley during the asassination atemt on Reagan. He is a leading proponent of Gun control and was the driving force behind the assault weapons ban that was signed into law by Clinton which was then repealed by Bush in 2004. Brady has no interest in saying the president is failing on gun control. The NRA and the republicans do have an interest. When they LIE, and say Obama is coming for your guns, all of the reactionarey morons that make up the majority of the right wing run out and buy gun, or join the NRA, or vote for the Republicans, or even worse the Tea party. The NRA and Republican party will lie to the public to push their agendas and to get money. If you don't think they will, then you are sadly mistaken. The reason for this post is to try to get people to think before they act, or believe. Information has to be scrutinized before believing in it. People are liars, they will do and say anthing to achieve their goals. Always consider the source of information. If you are basing something important, like your vote on information you need to confir it using outside sources that don't have an interest in the matter. When Romney says he is the best man for creating jobs don't believe it, do some research and see what he has done in the past that backs up this claim. Again I'm no fan of Obama, he hasn't changed diddly, and that was the whole basis of his campaign. I don't think he lied about it though, I think he would like to make some changes, but he needs cingress, and that's not going to happen in todays divisive climate. Have a nice day
