Obenauf framelock, with a twist...

...in the blade!

You guys know that I am a sucker for a recurve blade. I asked Mike to make this one with a recurve blade and his contoured titanium handles. The mailman just dropped her off. I haven't had much time with her, but I snapped a few quick pictures to share.

Typical Mike Obenauf quality, locks up like a bank vault.

What do you guys think? Aren't those curves luscious?

Almost forgot the stats. This is his large model 2 framelock. Bladesteel is S30V.

I can make out the general contour of the handle, but the pics appear quite dark and hide most of what is probably a great looking knife.

I do like that a lot.

I finally sat down and bent the hell out of the pocket-clip on mine so I could carry it -- WAY to stiff / strong originally.

Then my Buck / Mayo arrived, and the Obenauf went back into the display case.

Outstanding, but then again I always find Mike's knives to be excellent. Those sumptuous curves really do make for a fine looking handle.
