I just got an Obenauf Model 2 from another forum member this week and I just had to share my excitement. This is one of the smoothest opening knives I have ever handeled. The fit and finish are outstanding.

Mr. Obenauf, if you should happen to read this post, may I say your work is outstanding. I am interested in purchasing a frame lock in the near future. Where do I find your website or ordering information?

Kyle

I agree. Mike O's work is outstanding, better than many that have made knives longer, yet priced right. I've met him, he's a humble, hardworking, nice guy, and he is on his way to being one of the elite makers of the future.

One more thing. Being trained by Kit Carson must be a good thing, but he sure has strange training methods.

Great pic Dave !

ROTFLMAO

I'd heard that Kit gets parsnickity during his training sessions. ;) :D

Thank You guys for all of the kind words. Please don't be alarmed by the picture of Kit and I. His training methods may be harsh, but you get used to it!

Mike O.

I was fortunate enough to own several of Mike's earliest pieces. His work is outstanding and definitely one of the best values going in the custom arena right now.

Mike, glad to see you signed up for an account - we were getting a little tired of sending you cudos through that crusty old father in law of yours ;) ;) :p

mike's stuff is definitely top notch. Very very smooth opening and top fit and finish

Hi Mike, good to see you around these parts :) - Charles

Oh yeah, along with being a nice guy, his knives do kick ass !

Ahhhhh, Obenauf!! These knives have all been recalled, and you should send them all to:

PO Box

No really, I love his knives, and one day when I grow up, I'm going to buy one. I can't remember which forumite it was, but I remember seeing a pic of a large Obie collection. Congratulations on purchasing such a fine knife.

I was thinking it was you, but I wasn't for sure. Again, I have appreciated looking at your fine collection.

THANKS!
