The thought of a 5/16" AD is enough to give anyone "chills of happiness", and this is probably our last opportunity for such wonderful things.

What configuration would you like to see?


Me you ask?


1) Crinkle coated finish
2) Satin edges
3) Neutral color micarta (gray, black)
 
I would prefer satin finish with Snakeskin nukarta. But I don't think we will get a choice. And if it must be coated, I would prefer the tan coating! Whatever it is, I'm there! I love the feel of my Desert Mean Street in 5/16" Steel!!!
 
Yes, I saw that Jerry listed the specs, but you can never tell, he may give us an option for a satin finish, for a price!
 
i'd like it to have the same flat grey finish as the Mofo/Mojo, and the micarta to look like it has concentric circles coming out of it. Jerry did a blade like that once. It looks like water ripples eminating from the center of the micarta.....and I'd like it double cut....and....:D

From the trend over time it appears evident that Jerry doesn't care for thicker stock. INFI performs above all the bars at thinner stocks which is why Busse blade seem to have went on a diet.

I think Jerry is hoping the Obese AD will "teach us a lesson". If this run don't sell out we can probably kiss 5/16" good-bye, lol :)

Although I am likely to get one. (dialup connection permitting) I would rather see 5/16th is a longer blade. I know on some of the knives I have used with thick and narrow blades you run out of usable sharpening edge. The blade becomes too thick too close to the edge. Now a 5/16 SH is what I'm talkin about. I was saddened by the departure of the 1/4 SJ. I have one and I love it. I was going to get another but alas they are a thing of the past.
I'm gettin ready to order me an Assault Shaker the big little blade.

Hmmm....double cut or satin....if coated, then desert...grey/black or green/OD micarta (smooth).

I still can't believe Jerry is actually gonna make this little beast. I'm telling you, he's trying to teach us a lesson.....little does he know, with psychos like Dark Nemesis, me and Strabs on the loose, he might not get what he's expecting!
 
Since I don't travel around in helicopters or on military operations I find myself carrying my Mean Streets and the Active Duty more than I do the Steel Heart, Mofos, or Battle Mistress. IF I had to pry on something ( like a crate or even a manhole cover) and the only thing I had with was one of the small knives, I would rather have my 5/16" Desert Warfare or 5/16" Mean Street than the Active Duty. The "ideal" is something that is thin enough to consistently cut, but still strong enough to pry if you "have" to. IF Jerry can make the fatty Active Duty cut and still be able to pry like he did with the Mean Streets seems like it would be something good to have around ;)
 
Don't get me wrong I think this will be a wicked little knife. I'll most likely get one. Depending on funds and when it's offered. Carrying my Bandicoot at the moment but something a little smaller would be even better.
 
I'm in for one of the railroad spikes. Although, I would like to see a fat badger and more fat full sized blades. I still think that the 5/16" badger length knife with the AD palm swell (portly badger attacktive duty) would be ideal.:D And while I'm at it... pencil me in for a bead blasted, snakeskin scaled, fat GM!:eek: :p :D

:) I told him the same thing, he's sure these little suckers aren't going to sell, something about rubbing it in our faces the next time we ask for 5/16"....lol, he's fricking clueless :D

Double Cut!!! Ack!! No one even mention that term. That's all I need is for him to go and fricking double cut these things. I'd be crying like a baby for weeks...

Find yourself a fatty SH BA. First off it's got the BA blade length:D and second it's got the palm swell. :eek: :eek: Jerry made the perfect blade and then DISCONTIUED IT!!!!! Oh,and it's FAT!!

The first time I ever held it I knew it was the "if you could have only one" blade for me. Good hunting!!

I know why you don't like double cut, Nemmy. You just can't stand cutting off the coating; that would slim the blade down too much, eh?
