Some posts in the auto forum and a conversation with my wife (about buying a nice custom, of course) got me thinking: What knives do you buy that you don't, won't, can't use? Some people spend a LOT of money on very nice knives that will never cut more than air? I personally don't have one yet, but I'm working on it. There was a bar steel dagger on the for sale page recently that I really liked. That knife I probably wouldn't use. But then again, I said that about the nemesis....

Elvis you used your nemesis what will our fellow microholics say.

Seriously though how well does it hold up in use do you still get a solid lock up and a good crisp snap on fireing,

I haven't used it all that much, but yeah, it works great. Mine has always been a little sluggish, just haven't taken the time to send it back to the dealer to send it back to MT. But it is definitely a user.

I started "collecting" knives in the past few months, and have a few that I know I won't use. A first run, dagger-logo'ed MT Nemesis for example - but I would consider buying a recent production model for use. Have a Brend HALO 3 in the case, but a black serrated HALO 3 is in my sights for a user.

Mostly if it's quasi-rare, out of production, and really cool/expensive I won't use it. A HALO 2 TiN stays in the house, about 300 made and no more coming along - plus it's about my favorite.

Alternately, I have a pair of Sebenzas, damascus, decorated/wood inlaid, that - though awesome knives - are replaceable and fun to carry.
