Hello all. Have a couple of questions about the OBM grinder.
A google search brings up a website for a company called "Origin Blade Maker" with what seems like the same products. I thought the company was Oregon Blade Maker, anyone know?

I need a new tensioner for my grinder. The hydraulic piston seems to be losing strength, and my belts are going all over the place. I have to force the arm up to straighten out the tracking, and it doesn't last very long before I have to do it again.

Any suggestions?

McMaster-Carr should have what you're looking for. Does your gas strut have a model or serial number on it? If not, McMaster has weights and dimensions should be able to find a replacement pretty easily.

I see now. They appear to have changed their name as all their products are the same.

The gas spring on my OBM is a Suspa c16-14860 20 lb. They have them from the manufatcurer here, though you might want a higher lb spring for a replacement if yours is getting loosy-goosy. Or I'm sure you could just call or shoot OBM an email for a replacement. Heck, they might just send you one.

I was planning on going stronger. It worked for a couple years, but I've been noticing increasing difficulties over the past six months or so.
