put in my Shenendoah place. Satellite, and it's as fast as cable. I've owned this place for 10 years, and during that time everyone told me to not get satellite. It was slow and unreliable. Now, it seems they have finally upgraded everthing, new satellite, etc. It's nice to live in a rural place, where broadband isn't available, and now be able to post.

Nice congrats. It may be slow during various weather conditions but other then that it should work really well.

Fast is relative. Years ago, I would load a program in my TRS-80 and go eat dinner while it loaded......and there was no internet at all. A fast printer printed two pages a minute.....and you had to tear the strips off the side of the paper after printing.

Thanks, Quint. It is somewhat wheather dependent, but not as much as it used to be, I get HD TV through satellite as well, and it works fine even during very cloudy conditions. I do lose the signal during really heavy cloudcover however.

I remember that, Stacy. Ahh, the good old days. When I first started working, a secretary (remember those?) would go around the office delivering mail . I remember the day they installed the first computer on my desk. No one knew quite what to make of those newfangled gadgets.

Just watch your bandwidth quotas. If you go over, most of the companies penalize you by making the service so slow it's almost useless.
