Just wondering what some of you guys do for a living. I've had some customers with interesting jobs in the past.
As for myself, I used to be in pump seal manufacturing for 37 years. After that I started making knives, with a brief stint in retail security, warehouse worker, and worm wrangler.

Structural Construction Inspector here. Pre-construction, construction, and post-construction work. Do a bit of everything: foundations (sub-bases, bases, piles), concrete (building slabs/walls, roads/bridges), and I'm also a certified welding inspector. Mostly government jobs: schools, hospitals, flood walls, levees, airports, roads, bridges, etc. Underpaid, overworked, yadda, yadda.

I'm just glad I'm not the one swinging the hammer or pulling the concrete...

Computer Technical Specialist with expertise in distributed database technologies and SQL tuning specialist.

I also own a small firearms safety training business.

I'm the JOAT for a small-ish state agency.
My working title is Facilities/Security Manager - only because nobody understood what "infrastructure manager" covered.

Nuclear War Correspondent - seriously.

(20 years of strategic nuclear ops spent underground, on the ground, and in the air, then another 20 years of conducting observations and evaluations of those same operations worldwide, and writing about them for those who shall remain nameless - a rather small readership, but it has paid nicely - I usually just tell people I write bad Tom Clancy novels for the government)
