Here is a link I just happen to come across while checking on some diving sites and saw some of these knives...The titanium folder looks interesting.

Come to think of it, I'm curious as to what kind of pivot pin, screws, thumbstud, locking bar, etc. are used. Is it only the blade that's Titanium? It sure looks like a lock back to me, so they have to use these parts. Anybody have one?

I' ve handled both the Ocean Master folder and the blunt tip Diver. Both are very lightweight. The enclosed literature clearly states that the blades are made of Beta Titanium. I thought "Beta" was proprietery to Mission Knives. The folder I handled was not of the same shape as depicted in the above site. It was more of a broader type drop point and is a bit beefier OAL. I am not sure as to materials of the securing pins, pivots, etc. but both of the bead blasted chiseled ground blades are EXTREMELY sharp! Anyone else??

There was a thread on Ocean Master a while back. IIRC Rick of Mission Knives said they had tested an Ocean Master and it was not beta titanium. I seem to recall some talk of legal action....

A quick search turned up one old thread ... seems to me I've seen more on the subject, but it was probably in the Reviews forum or the Year One Archive -- anybody interested can search those forums for himself....
