great show as usual, tons of fun! This year i decided to take pics to share. Unfortunately most of them were too poor to post, so here's what I've got left alas.

First - products that impressed me.
#1 - Spydie nirvana THIS THING IS AMAZING!!!! I was nicely allowed to take an in-hand pic. Feels GREAT, looks GREAT, gonna be GREAT!
#2 - Diaz neck knife. Looks odd but is outstanding. Great ergos, very light, and also thin with a full flat grind so great as a slicer. I don't need one so did not pick one up but it's nagging me, gotta get one eventually. Really a great practical design, best necker I saw of the many many at the show IMHO.
#3 - Olamic Cutlery. Their knives are SMOOTH and I didn't realize that you can totally customize them any way you want - very cool.

Something I didn't like was the "Grateful Edge" sharpening service. I paid $7 for a "3k grit" EdgePro sharpening job on an HK 14715 in D2 since I was curious how it would do. It was working sharp but needed a touch-up. After I picked it up the guy cut paper to show it was sharp, and the edge looked pretty . . . but walking away I discovered it was nowhere near able to shave arm hair. They think that's worth $7?? I don't blame the system just the operator. Went home and fixed it myself.

SERIOUSLY sweet katanas here! I know nothing about them other than "wow, dem's pretty!"

On the other end of that spectrum, none than Mecha was present with his "all business" forged titanium swords. Can't believe how light they are and yet based on the testing vids they are truly apocalypse-worthy!

Sadly the last of my usable photos, some pics for the "traditional" crowd - TONS of old-timey knives at the show!
The Marbles caught my eye, a pocket knife with a hammer?? It is of new manufacture and was very well made.
I didn't know there were so many ways to custom-order a Buck 110, that could turn into a collection compulsion all by itself!
Anyone else got any pics or experiences to share?

HA! Nice pics Fishface5, I'm glad you got a few of the Moro swords which are really a sight to see.

Excellent photos and fun to read commentary ff5. Thank you for the hard work. The photography sure slows me down making the rounds at the show. Nobody has punched me in the face yet but I always try to get permission if anyone is manning the table.

I bot the Pulaski (forest fire axe/hoe) top center post number 3 with red ring around handle. A vintage TRUETEMPER almost-unused beauty on the ready line for service $40 and no cracks, chips or splinters in the handle. Probably from a small fire dept. I live in the woods in a vintage cedar home and this will grace my stone fireplace with another vintage, double edge, axe.

So much to see, so many knowledgeable and enthusiastic vendors to swap informative tales with (some vendors take notes as I talk and I take notes as they speak, I need a small recorder for the oral history of cutlery as told by those with expert knowledge), so many valuable collectibles to buy and so little time to take it all in. OKCA is the high point of my interest in cutlery for the year. Nothing else comes close. Chairman Dennis Ellingson hammers together by sheer force of genius and guts an outstanding precious experience that is OKCA.

Forged titanium swords? Those are stupid and ridiculous.

*I want everything on that table, holy cow.

Also, thanks for sharing, brother. These are great pics. Admittedly, the best one to me is that Spyderco Nirvana. I'll need to have that. Wow.

Damn, I was hoping that Spyderco would lose the stupid-looking baked earth pattern & acid washed blade on the actual production Nirvanas.

I think the nirvana pattern could be modded, I don't hate it but don't love it.
As for the titanium katanas. . . well the testing does the talking for them!! You can beat on those suckers in ways you would never treat a steel katana.

Also kudos to Oregon on all his great pics in the linked thread!
