Great as always, and available here: http://ikrhs.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=138

Funny, I have logged into this site several times but have not been active. I like to browse and learn about these collectible knives. I see several of you there as well. However since the dust up with some members of this site a couple of months ago, my log in no longer works.

Perhaps it has expired due to inactivity or somthing? In any case I re-registered and will see if I can get back in.

Regards,

Norm

What is a cho creep ??

Norm,
I thought I sent you an email, but apologize for not having done so. We had a major glitch (I believe that's the technical term  )over at the IKRHS Forum a while back, and lost some data (including some members' files) that was not backed up. Yours was one of two, and as I said I thought I had written you, but guess I must have been having a senior moment. In any case, please re-register and be assured that the glitch was not content-related in any way. We look forward to hearing from you on the forum again, and apologize for the confusion.

A picture, not quite worth 1000 words:

cho creep......cho creep...........looking for cho creep.........

 still looking...........

Still do not understand.............

As I said, maybe not the best illustration of the phenomenon :foot:

"Cho creep" = the tendency of the cho (or more accurately, the kaudi )to move away from the bolster toward the tip of the blade (i.e., "creep") in many kukris of more modern manufacture. Reduces the amount of useable blade edge and alters the balance.

Berkley, thanks very much! I'll bet anything you _did_ send an email, but I was getting so much spam on my home account, literally 300 emails a day of junk, that I bought a great new spam filter that also occassionally eats emails I want to get.

I did re-register at work a couple of hours ago, and tonight at home successfully re-authenticated my account and was able to browse some of the threads. Thanks again.

Regards,

Norm
