OD-1 what blade finish does it have

It is too dull for satin. It is a fine bead blast finish. For what it is worth I prefer a satin finish as on the ENRG-2.

+1 on the fine bead blasted finish. It would have looked sweet with the satin, but, that would have thrown it off the nice price point. At the rate things are moving at Kershaw they may be introducing satin finishes and Ti frame locks to the Walmart crowd before too long.

Yikes, you mean I'll have to spend more time at Walmart

Actually, satin finishes aren't more expensive to produce - a machine satin finish is what you have after the blade is ground. However, a lot of companies like the bead blast because it is very uniform, easy to apply, and even has the ability to hide pits and scratches.

Some companies like to show grind scratches, while others like to show a smooth finish like Kershaw's glass bead blast. It's mainly up to personal preference.

Oh, and back on topic, I need to go to Wal Mart today and see if they have any OD-1's - the price is AWESOME!!!

I got mine from walmart and I really like the beadblast. Depending on the knife a beadblast finish looks just as good or better than a satin imo.
